Info: Gemona is the perfect base to explore the Southern Alps and for XC flying. The famous “XC highways” Soča Valley (Slovenia) and Drautal (Austria) are very close.
Accommodation: Hotel Willy in Gemona or camping
Gemona, with its local mountains Cuarnan and San Simeone, offers reliably good flying conditions in summer.
The area is incredibly varied – situated on the southern edge of the Alps with a view of the Po Valley, surrounded by the Julian and Carnic Alps and the Belluno Dolomites to the west.

Organisation and booking of the hotel and campsites
We will meet on the day of arrival at 19:00 at the Hotel in Gemona for dinner and to get to know each other.
If you are travelling by plane to VCE Venice: Book your flight so that you are at the exit at 15:00 on the day of arrival. Do not book your departure before 15:00 on the day of your return journey.
A single room (including breakfast and dinner) in the hotel costs € 525 for 7 nights – double room € 490. The camping pitches directly at the hotel cost € 15 per night.
