1. Booking Process

Booking Enquiry: Your request is an inquiry only and does not create a contract.
Confirmation: Your booking is officially confirmed once you receive our email with a booking confirmation and payment request.
Invoice: Your official invoice will be sent two days prior to your first day of flying with us.

2. Hotel

Para42 acts solely as an agent for the hotel and does not handle hotel payments.

3. Travel and Cancellation Insurance

We strongly recommend taking out travel and cancellation insurance.

4. Cancellations

a. By Para42

If Para42 must cancel a regular guiding day on Tenerife due to bad weather, you will be refunded the full price for that day. This policy does not apply to special tours or courses.

b. By You

Right of Withdrawal: As a consumer, you have the legal right to cancel the contract without a reason within two weeks of receiving your booking confirmation.
Exceptions: This 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to bookings made less than 14 days before the tour begins. In this case, rebooking is also not possible.
How to Cancel: To cancel, you must send a written notice via email to info@para42.com.
Cancellation Fees: A cancellation fee will be charged based on when we receive your written notice:
- More than 4 weeks before: €50 processing fee
- 4 weeks to 2 days before: 50% of the tour price
- Less than 2 days before or no-show: 100% of the tour price

1. Pricing & Services

To ensure a seamless training experience, please review what is covered by your course fee
and what additional costs to expect on-site.

What is Included

Expert Instruction: SIV training entirely in English with “Positive Coaching” and
maneuvers individually tailored to your level.
Safety Gear & Testing:
- Harness and reserve parachute compatibility check.
- Rental life jacket (includes a free spare cartridge for unintentional water landings).
- Floater for your rescue handle.
Communication: Waterproof radio and in-ear speaker with talkback function.
Water Rescue: Fast rescue boat on standby for every flight.
Education & Briefing: Detailed briefings before and after every flight, plus guided
ground-handling sessions.
Take-home Content:
- Comprehensive theory folder.
- All your training videos provided at the end of the course.
Logistics: Optional pickup from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) included.
The Experience: A gift from the team, video analysis sessions, and a great social
environment.

What is NOT Included

Transport: Mountain shuttle bus (€10 per ride).
Site Fees: Idro Flycard (€10 for the entire season; covers take-off and landing fees).
Equipment Maintenance: Replacement life jacket cartridge after a deliberate
deployment (€35).
Travel & Logistics: Personal travel to the meeting point (outside of VCE pickup),
food, and drinks.
Accommodation: Not included in the course price.
- Nonna Elvira Holiday House: We can arrange this booking for you upon request.
- Camping Miralago: If you prefer the campsite, please book directly with them.

2. Cancellation policy

Pilot-Initiated Cancellation

To maintain our small group sizes and ensure quality instruction, we apply the following
cancellation fees based on how far in advance you cancel:

Administration Fee: €50 for all cancellations.
60 – 31 Days Before Start: 50% of the course fee.
Within 30 Days of Start: 100% of the course fee (non-refundable).

Course Cancellation by Organizer
Cancellations at Lago d’Idro are rare due to the stable microclimate. However, if we must
cancel the course due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control,
the following protocols apply:

Refund Policy: You will receive an 80% refund of the course fee.
Organizational Costs: The remaining 20% is retained to cover non-refundable
administrative and organizational expenses already incurred.
Notification: If forecasts indicate conditions are unsuitable for safe,
high-quality training, we will notify you via the WhatsApp group no later than three
days before the course begins.

3. Terms of Participation and Liability Acknowledgment

With Your Booking You Confirm That

You have a valid paragliding license y IPPI Card level 3 or higher.
You have health and liability insurance which is valid in Italy.
You will provide an emergency contact (name and phone number) on the first day of
flying with us.
You ensure your glider’s inspection is up to date and will not expire during the course.
You confirm you are flying within the weight limits specified for your wing.
Your rescue parachute is appropriate for your weight and no more than 10 years old
(refer to the owner’s manual for exceptions).
El parachute has been repacked within 6 months of the training start date, unless
your manual states a different requirement.
